Kohaku Oukawa

Kohaku and Yuta first met in Night Club when Yuta storms into the Café Cinnamon demanding Rinne give Hinata back. They are seen again in Fruitful OCTOBER when Kohaku goes with Yuta, Kaoru, and Adonis to harvest grapes.

2nd Year Students

Hinata and Yuta are twins, and members of the same unit, 2wink. Although their relationship is very flawed, Hinata and Yuta care about each other despite their differences, frustrations, and individual struggles. By the end of their first year, they’re able to have a serious talk about their issues and begin working towards a healthier coexistence.

Growing up, Hinata and Yuta never really saw each other as separate individuals. They were very similar, to the point that even their own father was unable to tell them apart. While the twins were happy this way, other people, including (and especially) their father, treated them like they were something other than human. The twins took care of each other growing up, with Hinata choosing to shoulder all the responsibility associated with the “big brother” role. Eventually, Hinata began to change significant aspects of his personality and tastes so other people would be able to differentiate Yuta from him. Although Hinata made this decision for Yuta's sake, it is often met with frustration. While Yuta cares about being seen as his own person, he doesn’t like how Hinata forces himself to be something he isn’t—he feels like Hinata is throwing something dear to him, the “me” that they shared, away.

Hinata cares deeply about Yuta, and would do—and has done—everything in his power for his sake. Due to Hinata’s self-sacrificial nature, this can have disastrous outcomes. It also leaves Yuta frustrated, as he feels coddled despite the two of them having a negligible age difference. Yuta tends to hold onto grudges for a long time, and happens to have quite the explosive personality; two aspects that don’t mix well with the frustrations he holds over this situation. From Hinata getting in trouble at school with his pranks to taking on job after job to support Yuta and 2wink behind Yuta's shoulders, Yuta's scoldings often turn into berating. Hinata sometimes tries—or promises to try—changing his behavior, but it does not always yield results. In Ensemble Stars!!, he admits he often felt like Yuta was just venting out his frustrations on him.

Shinobu Sengoku

Finally becoming friends in Crash Course, Yuta and Shinobu have shared a close relationship since then. Initially, Yuta had stated that he had always wanted to get to know Shinobu, but never really found a chance to, due to Shinobu's shy personality. Since then, the two have gotten close enough to the point where Shinobu was willing to become Yuta's shield, when Souma wanted to prove that his katana would indeed cause no harm.

Yuta is usually always trying to get Shinobu to try out some of his own tricks, though Shinobu is always quick to refuse.

During the Christmas Live, Yuta notes that he's thought of Shinobu somewhat as a little brother, due to his fascination of trivial things.

In Boarding Live, Yuta and Shinobu officially become best friends.

Yuta and Shinobu have remained close friends in their 2nd year, and are in Asobi Club together. Shinobu and Yuta have a very close friendship, and Yuta tends to be quite possessive of Shinobu, complaining whenever something or someone takes him away from him. Yuta is this way towards Shinobu because he treasures their friendship greatly, because Shinobu is someone who is able to support Yuta and be wholeheartedly loyal to him, saying that even if he refuses to be a 'bad kid' with Yuta, he wants to help fight the 'evil' that's tormenting Yuta. Shinobu is also someone who is willing to stand by Yuta while he's lashing out on people (including Shinobu) and acting like a 'tyrant', because Shinobu understands that Yuta is going through a rough time, and wants to continue to stay with him as friends.

Tetora Nagumo

Tetora was referred to as "that guy from RYUSEITAI", during Christmas Live. Yuta was infuriated when he saw Hinata working alone with Tetora, and thought that Hinata was trying to disband 2wink and join RYUSEITAI. However, Tetora was able to settle their argument once he was able to get Yuta to understand Hinata's feelings.

Yuta and Hinata both helped Tori to train for the Circus.

3rd Year Students

Anzu

Enstars!

Yuta is Anzu's junior whom she shares friendly relationship with. Anzu seems to trust him and his brother Hinata, e.g letting them handle advertising in Dark Night Halloween.

HiMERU

Fellow members of Cosmic Production. Yuuta and HiMERU first interact during Night Club, after HiMERU calls Yuuta out on following him and invites him to talk. HiMERU seems to sympathize with Yuuta, offering him his help in unravelling Rinne's plans and stating he "admires how skilled 2wink are at staying alive".

Ibara Saegusa

Unlike his brother, Yuta is more cautious when it comes to dealing with Ibara. He often shows suspicion when Ibara treats 2wink well. This is likely due to the numerous times that Ibara has worked with Hinata without Yuta's knowledge. One example of this is when Yuta panicked at finding out that Hinata went to a strange place with Rinne, only to find out that Hinata was doing it under Ibara's directive. When Hinata receives a call from Ibara and is summoned to his office, Yuta always asks to tag along because he's worried about what Ibara might be up to. Even when Ibara bothered to come to 2wink's birthday party despite being late, Yuta wondered why he would come if he was really busy. However, considering the context, he immediately realized that it wasn't good to keep suspecting Ibara when he came all the way there just to celebrate their birthday and take pictures, so he went to thank Ibara.

Despite all his caution, Yuta actually respects Ibara well enough. He believes that Ibara's decision of putting only one of them in Volcano Island wasn't a choice clouded by emotion; it was because Ibara believed in 2wink's skill as idols and professionals that he left it all to them.

Yuta also seems to often enjoy trying to pull pranks on Ibara, ranging from trying to prank him for a variety show to trying to make him eat a spicy creampuff on Ibara's own birthday. However, because Ibara is always reserved and cautious when it comes to his surroundings, most of Yuta's prank attempts fail. Despite this, Ibara doesn't seem to be angered by this, just calmly refusing to eat the creampuff.

Koga Oogami

Fellow members of the Light Music Club. Koga cares for both of the Aoi twins as he is their upperclassman. He tags along with them to help train Tori during Circus.

Koga's relationship with 2wink becomes more complicated after the events of Sandstorm, but even so, he still has a soft spot for 2wink and feels really empathetic to Yuta as he is able to understand his struggles and anger better than most people, due to feeling similarly in the past. He feels guilty about not being able to recognize how Yuta was having a rough time. In Big Ocean, 2wink are able to successfully do a Repayment Festival Performance for Koga and Adonis, and they seem to be on better terms after the performance, even challenging Adonis and Koga to a B1, and eating together afterward. Yuta is the person who put Koga's name on the doghouse in this card.

Mao Isara

Ritsu Sakuma

Ritsu seems to enjoy teasing Yuta, as shown in Test of Courage.

Souma Kanzaki

During Crash Course, Yuta had commented that the rest of the students were avoiding Souma due to his katana. As such, Souma wanted to prove to Yuta that his katana would cause no harm, but was intervened by Shinobu and Anzu.

During the Christmas Live, Chiaki allowed RYUSEITAI and 2wink to share the "Eve of the Eve" Live.

Izumi Sena

At first, Yuta seemed to have been intimidated of Izumi due to his constantly irritated personality.

Izumi is very fond of Yuta and acts kindly towards him. He uses Yuta as a "substitute for Yuu-kun", presumably because they have similar names, and treats him with a similar affection. However, despite the initial "substitution" that took place in Test of Courage, it is shown that he really does care about Yuta's well-being, growing stressed in Leisurely Self-Bondage when Yuta gets angry at him for paying so much attention to Makoto and later panicking about Yuta was having difficulty carrying the heavy boxes.

Nagisa Ran

Nagisa and Yuta are dormmates in the Starmony Dorms. Yuta and Nagisa share a friendly relationship as dormmates and agency co-workers, and in one of their homescreen interactions, Nagisa says Yuta is free to hug him any time he likes, after Yuta sleepily mistook Nagisa for Hinata and hugged him.

Rei Sakuma

Yuta was a fellow member of the Light Music Club. Rei often sent both of the twins to do errands for him. In Boutique, Yuta revealed that him and Rei had casually shopped together. Rei considers 2wink to be his precious children and wants nothing but the best for them. He is the one who was responsible for 2wink having to face their issues, which led them to being able to start to fix their complex relationship with each other. 2wink are both really grateful for him.

2wink don't get to talk to Rei as much since he graduated, but their relationship hasn't changed much as they're still really close, and Rei still calls them his beloved children. They're in the circle "Band BB" together.

Rinne Amagi

Yuta and Rinne's relationship started off very rocky, as Yuta's poor impression of Rinne from the Main Story was only worsened after witnessing Rinne persuade Hinata into a club he presumed was only for adults. After entering the establishment himself to find Hinata and subsequently finding out that he was fine and the establishment was all-ages, Yuta remarks that Rinne is more 'decent' than he thought, seeing Hinata getting along with him. Rinne is someone who has bluntly forced Yuta to face hard truths, such as telling him that 2wink aren't kids anymore, and that they are two separate individuals, not the 'two-in-one' they claim to be. Rinne encourages Yuta to be more adult-like, and while it annoys Yuta, he does follow through with Rinne's advice by doing something he typically wouldn't do during the performance at Beehive. Yuta tends to ignore Rinne anytime they encounter each other, as he claims he gets put in a bad mood whenever they end up talking. Despite this, Yuta does have a bit of trust in Rinne, hesitantly choosing to accept his help in personal training leading up to Choco Fes.

Shu Itsuki

Shu could differentiate between Hinata and Yuta at a glance because Yuta's hair was 2 mm longer in Steampunk Museum. In addition, he could differentiate their personalities and the way they moved. He did not have any complaints about their performance in neither Steampunk Museum nor Cinema Theater, implying he evaluated them highly.

Akiomi Kunugi

Yuta is often the one who gets caught and scolded for his brother's mischief. Though Akiomi understands Yuta is not entirely at fault, the fact that he is unable to tell the two apart usually causes Yuta to get caught as well.
