| Huff… Time for a little break to catch my breath.
Oh, hello there…? Ah, it’s you, Anzu-san. Are you on your way home from work? I’m in the middle of a run. I’d like to build up my stamina for the variety show we’ve got coming up. |
|
| Anzu: You’re sweating.(汗をかいてるよ) | |
|---|---|
| I brought a towel with me, so it’s not a problem!
I got a few from the storeroom back at the office. They said they were just going to throw them away afterwards, so I picked some up. I won’t have to worry about towels for a while, thank goodness! |
|
| I thought it’d cool down a bit in the evening, but exercise sure warms you up fast.
When I start to sweat, I get thirsty too. I’m gonna go buy a drink from that vending machine over there. Would you like anything, Anzu-san? |
|
| Anzu: I’d like to run too.(私も走りたいな) | |
|---|---|
| I see! So you usually take some time to exercise every day, but these last few days have been so busy you haven’t had time to squeeze any into your schedule.
I don’t think you need to force yourself to exercise if you’re already that busy with work… But I understand being all tense about missing a whole day. It’s the same way I feel about missing out on rehearsals. |
|
| The sun can be quite bright when you’re running outside, so you might be better off using the training room.
Although the whole reason I’m running outside is really just because I’m a little scared at the thought of touching one of those brand new machines. I heard all this new equipment was super expensive, so the thought of breaking something is terrifying! |

| Anzu-san, have you ever heard of the TV show “Boogie Time”?
It’s a sort of variety show where you compete in teams to battle it out. We got a call the other day to let us know that Ra*bits would have the chance to make an appearance. |
|
| Anzu: Is that why you’re running?(走ってるのって……) | |
|---|---|
| Yes. I’ve done some research and it seems like stamina-based challenges can also be part of the game.
I’m a bit of a dummy at the best of times, and I don’t want to be a burden on my teammates… I know it’ll take more than just one day to build up my stamina, but I’d feel worse if I did nothing at all. |
|
| Part of the reason is the TV show, but I’m also partly doing it for myself.
I’m so grateful about all the work I’m getting lately, but I’m worried about whether I have the energy to keep up with everything. So I decided to try to build up my strength whenever I have any free time. |
|
| Anzu: A variety show sounds unusual.(バラエティは珍しいよね) | |
|---|---|
| It does, doesn’t it? It seems like even our supervisors at the office were puzzled about why Ra*bits got the offer.
My roommate, Hasumi-senpai, also seemed concerned. He’s usually there for me in a lot of ways, like taking a look over my homework and stuff! |
|
| It does. We Ra*bits have barely any variety show experience, and yet we’re the ones who got the offer.
Tomoya-kun and I were talking about this before, wondering why we were the ones chosen. Mm. Should I be brushing up on how to be more entertaining or amusing to an audience? |

| Thanks for letting me talk to you about Boogie Time, Anzu-san.
I've been so nervous about whether I’ll be any good or not ever since we got the call about it. Um… If it’s alright with you, do you think you could wish me luck? |
|
| Anzu: Best of luck!(がんばって!) | |
|---|---|
| Thank you! I’ll give it my all!
Words of encouragement always feel extra special coming from you, my producer! If you’re the one supporting me, I feel like I’m ready to show the world what I’m really made of! |
|
| Eheheh. Thank you!
As long as I keep your words in mind while we’re filming the show, I know I’ll be able to give it my all. And I’d be super happy if you supported us along the way. |
|
| Anzu: Of course.(もちろんだよ) | |
|---|---|
| Anzu-san, I knew I could count on you!
Thanks to your encouragement, I feel all this courage welling up inside of me… Like, I’m ready to push myself even further, and I start feeling more optimistic in general. Isn’t that funny? |
|
| That’s all you had to say, and I suddenly feel super energized.
Anzu-san! The next time you need someone to wish you luck, make sure you come to me, okay? I don’t just want you to be the one supporting us; I want to help our producer out in return too! |
