Spring
Izumi learns from Tsumugi that his magazine cover shoot has been canceled in favor of Nozomi Madoka, an idol from the international group MELLOW DEAR US, produced by NiceP. Frustrated by this setback and aligning with Tsukasa’s order for Knights to participate in the 4piece auditions, Izumi resolves to compete. He aims to prove himself as an individual and gain recognition from NiceP by winning the audition.
fine gathers outside the 4piece venue, an enormous venue. Wataru is participating in 4piece in place of Tori, who had to pull out to oversee ATLANTIS’s construction. Eichi returns Wataru’s mask to him, reminding him to focus on himself and make independent choices during the audition, outside his role as part of fine. Meanwhile, Keito and Nazuna discuss the audition and their competition in the pathway to the venue. Eichi joins the conversation and warns Keito to keep an eye out for a promising participant: Ibuki Taki.
Opening Day
Activity: Pairing up into teams
The participants gather in the third venue of 4piece, the Twin Rooster Pagoda. Here, they are meant to compete as pairs in a tag-team battle. After the participants team up via lottery, Nice explains the evaluation criteria of the Twin Rooster Pagoda, revealing that the judges for their auditions will consist of audiences of one hundred spectators.
Teams: Hiiro Amagi & Nazuna Nito, Keito Hasumi & Ibuki Taki, Wataru Hibiki & Izumi Sena
Opening Day
Overall Theme: Satisfy the Largest Audience
Audience: 100 Idol Enthusiasts*; Theme: Self-Introduction Appeals
The twist is revealed: in the Twin Rooster Pagoda, pairs are challenged to win over an audience of one hundred guest judges that switch out each day. This is to challenge the balance between individual competition with cooperation. Participants are unable to see the audience. Scores are based on the number of “hearts” given by the audience.
To give an example of how the scoring works, Nice encourages Nazuna and Hiiro to be the first to introduce themselves. Hiiro’s is straightforward, while Nazuna trips over his words. They earn 60 hearts.

The composition of this first audience is not revealed to the participants until the end of the day. All other audiences are announced at the beginning of the day. Opening Day
Audience: 100 Idol Enthusiasts; Theme: Self-Introduction Appeals
While Keito strategizes their approach, Ibuki tells him to wing it. Ibuki gives an easy-going introduction and livens up Keito's more formal introduction: they receive “a good amount of hearts”. Wataru and Izumi prepare to introduce themselves. Izumi encourages Wataru to go all out, which he obliges.
Opening Day
Audience: 100 Idol Enthusiasts; Theme: Self-Introduction Appeals
The scene picks up with the character Nice wrapping up the self-introduction round of the idol audition. Nice explains that the auditions will continue daily with presentations in between, allowing each pair to learn from their audience feedback. However, the lowest-ranking pair each day will be eliminated.
Final Scores: Wataru-Izumi: 97/100, Nazuna-Hiiro: 60/100, Keito-Ibuki: ???/100 (A good amount)
While Nice goes to other venues, Seiya Hidaka comes to take over introducing the next theme: Demonstration of a Specialty. There are various props available to help participants tailor their performances. Wataru, Izumi, Keito, and Ibuki discuss their plans. Hiiro and Nazuna decide to hang back.
Opening Day
Audience: 100 Idol Enthusiasts; Theme: Demonstration of a Specialty
For Izumi and Wataru’s appeal, Izumi does a selection of model poses. Wataru impersonates him perfectly—both visually and vocally, much to Izumi's surprise and frustration. They earn “quite a lot of hearts”. Meanwhile, Keito intends to play the flute to Ibuki’s martial arts. However, Ibuki's approach to his specialty is more aggressive than anticipated: he launches a surprise attack on Hiiro. They earn “barely any hearts”. Nazuna diffuses the tension with his appeal: a high-jump contest, which is “considerably well-received” by the audience.
Final Scores: Wataru-Izumi: ???/100 (Quite a lot), Nazuna-Hiiro: ???/100 (Considerably well-received), Keito-Ibuki: ???/100 (Barely any hearts)
End of Opening Day
Audience: 100 Idol Enthusiasts
Nice praises everyone for their efforts, highlighting Wataru and Izumi as first place. Nice reveals the attribute of the first audience: idol enthusiasts. He explains that going forward the audience for the following days will be switched out and their attributes will be revealed ahead of time.
Hiiro cheers up Nazuna, who is feeling insecure about his performance. Keito and Ibuki sit in the aftermath of their communication issues. Izumi skips out on debriefing with Wataru, frustrated with his carefree attitude.
Final Ranking: 1st : Wataru-Izumi; Nazuna-Hiiro; Keito-Ibuki*
(*)
Said to be “in more of a slump" than Nazuna & Hiiro are That night, Hiiro and Ibuki are in their hotel room. Hiiro confronts Ibuki’s violent tendencies, and they engage in a conversation about cultural differences and perspectives. Ibuki also mentions he's heard AKATSUKI songs before returning to Japan. The conversation concludes with Ibuki expressing his interest in learning more about mainland Japan from Hiiro, who he has warmed up to.
Nazuna and Izumi share a room. Nazuna reveals that NiceP is a fan of Ra*bits, as shown by a fan letter he received. Izumi is skeptical about Nice’s objectivity, while Nazuna wants both Izumi and Nice to evaluate him fairly. The scene shifts to Keito and Wataru, who share a room. Wataru expresses hesitance, and Keito encourages him to tackle the audition as he sees fit.
Tatsumi and Aira run into Kanata, Tetora, Midori, Shinobu, Kuro, and Souma in the dorm commons, who have gathered to watch the 4piece broadcasts. The group remarks about the tag-team format, Hiiro and Ibuki (both his ambush on Tetora and his partnership with Keito).
Second Day
Audience: 100 Music Enthusiasts; Theme: Freedom
Nice announces that the audience of a hundred for the day is comprised of music enthusiasts. The first theme is “freedom”, and the participants have a wealth of instruments at their disposal. To Keito’s surprise, Ibuki jumps into performance with a rearrangement of A Thousand Blossoms, the Night of Crimson Moon. Because of the Japanese-Western blend and improvised nature of their performance, they earn “a considerable amount of hearts”.
Meanwhile, Wataru and Izumi decide on their performance. Because Izumi cannot play any instruments, Wataru gives him a melodica and utilizes a variety of instruments as a one-man band. Nice notes that while versatile, the act overshadows Izumi.
Second Day
Audience: 100 Music Enthusiasts; Theme: Freedom
After seeing the Keito-Ibuki and Wataru-Izumi pairs work together, Nazuna and Hiiro decide to perform together too. Hiiro opts to play a traditional instrument from his hometown while Nazuna sings along. However, their attempt fails as the fluctuating sounds of the traditional instrument don't match with Nazuna’s voice. Frustrated, they abandon the instrument and instead switch to singing together, which is simpler but still cohesive. They “don’t earn any hearts at all”.
End of Second Day
Audience: 100 Music Enthusiasts; Theme: Fusion Appeal(?)*
As the second day wraps up, Nice reveals the ranks for the day. Wataru and Izumi win first place again. Ibuki and Keito have lively chemistry as a duo, with Ibuki’s boldness and Keito’s support. Nazuna and Hiiro are strong individually but lack synchronization, so they narrowly avoid last place.
After the results are announced, Nazuna and Hiiro resolve to do better and plot to meet with each other at the hotel. Ibuki overhears them and invites himself and Keito to the meeting to surpass Wataru and Izumi.
Final Ranking: 1st : Wataru-Izumi; 2nd : Keito-Ibuki; Close to last: Nazuna-Hiiro
(*)
We don’t see much of what this is, or if it’s the same appeal as the one for the theme of “freedom”. Keito and Ibuki meet Nazuna and Hiiro in the hotel to discuss surpassing Wataru and Izumi. They also discuss Ibuki’s familiarity with AKATSUKI, the success of MELLOW DEAR US, and the challenge of deepening their bonds as teammates outside the audition format. Following Keito and Ibuki’s lead, Nazuna and Hiiro decide to listen to each other's unit songs to better understand each other and bridge their differences.
