Also known as Dearu Kirarai (綺蘭々井デアル Kirarai Dearu?). An idol and self-proclaimed Utaite belonging to Rhythm Link who specializes in crossdressing[1]. They worked under Rhythm Link even before Ensemble Square was established, having debuted 19 years ago as of Ensemble Square's first year anniversary, and has been an accomplished idol for many years[2][3], and said to be on the same level as Seiya Hidaka. They have been described to be "fairly popular" and "perfect" before.

The name Dearu Kirarai also encapsulates the rest of their team as an idol, Kira and Rearu. Kira is a man who is described to be massive and terrifyingly muscular, and is in charge of taking Idea-sama's place when holding in-person meetings with others. He is described to be a very sweet boy, despite his appearance. Rearu is the songwriter behind Idea-sama's songs.[3]

Appearance[]

Idea-sama's true appearance is unknown. When not represented by their voice, they make appearances through a CG persona. Their appearance focuses around cuteness, wearing a variety of things such as baby outfits and animal costumes[2]. They frequently crossdress for work, earning them the title of a "beautiful girl idol" despite being assigned male at birth[1]. They've grown to prefer that nickname, saying that it captures their true essence.[3] It is also implied that they enjoy feminine western clothing even in a casual setting[4].

Personality[]

Idea-sama is a hard working idol who does all they can to maintain a perfect image as a bishoujo idol[2]. They are dedicated to their work to a point that many find hard to achieve[5]. There are rumors circulating that they have changed almost every aspect about themself to fit the image of a bishoujo idol[2], however it is unclear if this refers to their physical body or their digital persona. They have, however, trained their voice to sound more feminine and asking people to avoid using their given name due to it being too masculine sounding[6].

While Idea-sama is dedicated to their work, they also find time to dote on their juniors- and more specifically Hajime. Idea-sama has bought clothing for Hajime, offered jobs to Hajime, practices with Hajime, and regularly texts Hajime due to their admiration for the boy. Despite being a perfect idol, Idea-sama is a much less perfect person when it comes to relationships. Idea-sama has said that they rarely interact with people, as they are quite detached from reality.[7] While meaning well, Idea-sama's doting can be taken to a point that is uncomfortable for the other person by disregarding the others boundaries[4] [8]. Idea-sama is also seen to be a little pushy, calling Hajime their successor for a while despite Hajime's wishes- and now constantly doing work with Hajime in hopes that Hajime will change his mind about not being their successor.

Idea-sama's persona is described to be of a cutesy princess who knows nothing about the world, that ends each their sentences with "desu no!". This role was apparently decided on a whim by some producers far back in their career, and since then they have strictly adhered to this image- despite the fact that they find it somewhat embarrassing.[3]

Trivia[]

    • Ibara also alludes to the fact that Idea-sama's approach to idol work is outdated[5].
