Shu Itsuki |
---|
Overview[]
Shu comes from a wealthy, old family with roots in the Kansai region. The family had a villa built out in Tokyo, built in a modern and Western-styled fashion. As the head of the Itsuki family, Shu's grandfather, aged, the family moved out to the villa for its barrier free and modern design to help aid in his grandfather's care. Because of this, Shu was born and raised at this family villa.[1]
Shu often visits his family residence for the holidays. The house is described to be an old, rather antiquated building with a Japanese style.

Grandfather[]
Shu's much beloved and respected grandfather whom he has looked up to ever since he was a child. While his grandfather is described to be very strict and always scolding others, he would always enable Shu's curiosity as a child, sharing with him the strange knickknacks he would collect.[9]

Parents[]
Mother[]
When Shu was a child, his mother owned a beautiful snow globe that she would not let him touch. One day, when she was not around, he took it out of its display case secretly to look at it, but it slipped from his hands and broke. Shu was so distraught about this that he developed a fever, with his mother diligently nursing him back to health and never blaming him for his mistake.
Nonetheless, Shu feels guilty about the incident to this day, recalling the sorrowful look on his mother's face and assuming that she was mourning her broken snow globe. However, Mika suggests that, rather than being upset about the snow globe, she was sad about how much the guilt of breaking it affected her son.[10]
