Shinobu is a ninja idol who works to spread the charm of ninjas. He looks like a small kid, but has a personality that is neutral and pragmatic. Shinobu is shy at first, he is well-liked and has endured many hardships. His singing voice is sincere and lively, and his performances make full use of his physique with acrobatic feats.
Shinobu is the RYUSEI Yellow, a member of RYUSEITAI at STARMAKER PRODUCTION. He is currently thinking of ways to spread the ninjas that are so filled with this "adoration" to the world. He is troubled over whether he should differentiate between his individual activities as a ninja from RYUSEITAI.[2]
I'm RYUSEITAI's Shinobu Sengoku, from STARMAKER PRODUCTION! As a member of RYUSEITAI, my dream is to spread the charm of ninjas throughout the world and bring a smile to everyone's faces. I feel like anything is possible so long as I'm with my fellow RYUSEITAI members who all support my dream♪ Recently I've been challenging myself to perform acrobatic choreography that makes the best use of my movements...but I still have room for improvement![2]
TetoraShinobu-kun is an indespensable member of RYUSEITAI! We're the same age, so I tend to rely on Shinobu-kun a lot... Also, he likes ninjas, so Shinobu-kun's got great agility and physical abilities. He's just like a modern-day ninja♪ He's always positive, and whenever the other unit members are feeling down, he'll casually talk to them to cheer them up; I really respect that about him. He's a man who's stronger than he looks![2]
Appearance
Shinobu is a short boy with an average build. His hair is a dark, dull purple color with two yellow streaks on his bangs. A small portion on the left side of the back of his head is also yellow. His bangs cover his right eye. He has light golden eyes. He wears the school uniform with the white shirt unbuttoned at the collar and a blue tie, as well as a black shirt underneath. He also wears a purple jacket under the school's blazer. He wears purple sneakers with white accents and laces.
On stage, he wears the yellow color version of RYUSEITAI's uniform. It includes a black and white leather jacket with yellow accents and gold trimming and detailing. The jacket is longer on the back than it is in the front, and the inside is designed with a sparkly purple fabric, reminiscent of a galaxy. He wears a black shirt underneath and a gold necklace with a yellow star as well as white form-fitting pants with a sparkly purple stripe down the outer sides. This is accessorized with a yellow and white striped belt with a gold and yellow star-shaped buckle. The belt has golden strings dangling from it and a sparkly yellow and white wrap tied to it. He also wears tall yellow boots with white accents and gold detailing, along with a pair of black fingerless gloves.

Personality
Shinobu is shy and timid at first, but opens up to others once they get to know him, showing off his bright and caring personality. He becomes attached to people who show him kindness and support, and shows them kindness and support in return.
He is very caring of his friends, who enjoy his company, calling him "healing." Due to having no friends before enrolling at Yumenosaki, Shinobu is also very anxious about becoming bothersome or being hated by his new friends.
His love for ninjas stemmed from always being alone before, as ninjas are solitary warriors who are always in the shadows. Even as Shinobu unashamedly keeps his love and interest for ninjas, he wishes to be someone who is seen and remembered. Tetora notes that even though ninjas are dark, the mood gets brighter when Shinobu is around.
Shinobu does not sacrifice who he is in order to belong and be liked by others, but is happiest when others love him for who he is and accept him.
Etymology
Shinobu's full name consists of Sengoku (仙石), where the two characters respectively mean "hermit/wizard" and "stone," and Shinobu (忍), meaning "endurance," and the first character of the word for ninja (忍者). His family name is a pun on the homophonous word 戦国 (Sengoku), the Warring States Period in Japan and also popularly stereotyped as the age of the ninjas. Combined, his full name can be taken to mean "a ninja from the Sengoku era."
His name reflects his chuunibyou that's centered around being a ninja.

Shinobu is an only child. His family consists of his parents and his two pet frogs, Momocchi and Thunder.
Trivia
- Shinobu's speech pattern is strongly influenced by the spoken language of the Sengoku era. One example of this is how he usually ends his sentences with "de gozaru".
- Shinobu's autograph consists of his full name rendered in kanji, playfully written and reflecting his childish personality, with his first name featuring the drawing of a small shuriken.
- Shinobu owns two pet frogs named "Momocchi" (モモッチ) and "Thunder" (サンダー).
- He often catches bugs in school to feed his pet frogs.[3][4]
- His intro as Ryusei Yellow is "Yellow flames are the proof of hope! A lone miracle illuminating the darkness! Ryusei Yellow! Shinobu Sengoku!"
- Shinobu's live stream username is "@Sengoku_Ryusei", which references RYUSEITAI.[5]
