An idol unit chasing justice. Led by Chiaki Morisawa, all RYUSEITAI members owns different personalities, and they provide abundant and zealous fan services. RYUSEITAI members now pivot on variety shows including sports programs, gourmet exploration show, hosting children's programs, and other media work that can express their characteristics. They also continue to work as volunteers and hold hero shows regularly as in their school time. The theme colors are the five colors of their heroic roles.
They are affiliated with STARMAKER PRODUCTION.

All members are leaders in this unique unit, each represented with their own color. The group has a wide range of individuality with a strength in fanservice. The group's characterization has allowed them a great variety of media exposure, including variety shows involving sports, cuisine reviews, main characters in children's shows, as well as appearances in TV dramas and stage performances. Their theme colors are unlimited galaxy and the five colors of each member's role.

Etymology[]
The first character in 流星隊, 流, means "current" or "flow". 星 means star, and 隊 means "party" or "squad". When combined, 流星 means "shooting star" or "meteor". Combined all together, their name translates as "shooting star/meteor squad", as the unit is based on super sentai heroes.

Trivia[]
- When the unit members refer to themselves as Ryusei (color), it literally means "Meteor (color)". For example: Ryusei Red → Meteor Red.
- The English equivalent of their unit name would be "Meteor Rangers", hence their song name, Tenka Muteki☆Meteorangers!
- RYUSEITAI was the first idol unit formed at Yumenosaki.[1]
- Jin Sagami was known as "Ryusei Rainbow" in RYUSEITAI. This color was given to him after he told the members of RYUSEITAI to give him whatever color was left so he ended up with rainbow.[2] Jin was never officially a member of RYUSEITAI and instead only worked with the unit as someone who could help bring in crowds. Jin stopped working with RYUSEITAI after getting into an argument about the matter.[3]
