I heard that you were the one who made the code for the enstars cards and I was wondering if I could use the template for another wiki as a base with a few edits to meet the other wiki's needs. I wanted to ask if it's okay and will properly credit you!
Hello, currently it's not really about the EnStars wiki itself, but I'm starting coding recently and I was wondering if you know where I can find "tips" for coding and making designs as awesome as in this server !
I was adding some renders to Hajime's gallery and ended up fiddling with the page's format a little. Is it okay to put it like that with scout and event renders separate? I didn't put 'em in exact chronological order yet, but I thought since there's getting to be a lot of cards maybe it'd be easier to keep organized like that owo
Also, I wasn't sure, but for cards that are wider than how they get cut off on win screens, should the cut off win screen version be added to the gallery, or the full width version? cause I know the trimmed ones are easier to use as dialogue renders, but full is full, so I wasn't sure how to add / what to name them. I tossed both kinds up for Sky-Colored Bubbles in case you wanna delete one or the other!
Omgosh, im so sorry for responding latefjaiw;oefhaweg (( It'd be easier to dm on twitter or something, since im not as active on wiki anymore ))
I originally had them organized as 3star art -> 4star art -> 5star art, tho i guess that kinda became a hassle to organize each time, but yeah it seems fine that way /)
For the trimmed versians, i always left them out, unless they were the only renders we had of them. Trimmed i usually named as something like "Hajime Shino Valentiens Apron Dialogue Render.png" but i left any alone if there weren't used in the stories as well.
So I was going through the images page in case someone uploaded stuff that's on the available contributions page but forgot to remove it from the list (as usual) and noticed a few files with the wrong filenames. Do I just link them all here and edit the pages they appear in when you've renamed the images or can I just go ahead and edit the pages now?
I think it'll be easiest to link all the photos you're planning on changing here, and then i can go and rename them from there. It shouldn't be much of a problem now if you start editing the pages, as long as you ahve the photos linked here.
It seems Emuy renamed the more important ones already. These are a little less important I guess but for consistency's sake: 1). pretty much all the Dream Travel chapter images, 2). this (my fault rip) and 3). this. While I'm at it, is there like a set format for renders? I saw quite a bit of variation for it (different word order, etc.) so I'm not sure what I should use for my future uploads.
Ah sorry for the late reply, i fixed both of the images.
for renders, i usually did something like "(Something something) Chiaki Morisawa Full Render" and "(Something something) Chiaki Morisawa Full Render Bloomed" if they were like not being used in the story pages. Otherwise, i name them things like "Chiaki Morisawa Something Dialogue Render" if they're used in the story, just to make editing easier in there
Hi! I've been browsing around the wiki for a while now and I noticed most of the renders/transparent idols card images are from you.
I'm assuming you're going through the game's data files in order to extract them and I'm curious about what programs you're using? I've been trying to do the same for a while now (I'm a hyper-perfectionist so getting HQ pictures is the best thing that could happen to me lol)
If you don't mind telling me of course! I also noticed a lot of dialogue renders are missing and I'd love to be able to add them and contribute to the wiki. Since I'm going through the event stories, it'll be like proofreading and taking care of the missing renders.
I actually made them all by screenshotting the win screens of each of the characters individually and creating transparencies out of them. I've always wanted to know how to extract them, but that area is too complicated for me, so rip orz
I've actually looked into mining some files from the game itself but it seems they've foolproofed the game's files, or I just need better skills / programs since I'm using a shitty-ass bluestacks but anyway
Thanks for replying! If I have anything to contribute I'll definitely add it!
Are there any plans to close comments for this wiki or anything? Or at least...make it so that only people who are logged in can comment? It just seems like too much work for the mods to moderate everyone commenting with such a big fandom, and already it seems like pretty much every character's page has either a lot of fighting or rude comments or really sexual comments..
Making it so that only registered users can comment is an available option for us, and i do understand why you want to have these closed, but leaving it open for anyone does help a lot of people, who comment asking for help on the games or etc.
I believe it would be best to just leave it as is for now, until a "major problem" pops up among the wikia contributors.
I've actually been noticing people making those sorts of comments for a while, but the main reason I actually asked was because I've noticed people in both the JP and KR fandoms making fun of the wiki's more ridiculous comments, and between this and the people making sexual comments in the enstars eng chatroom in-game...I'm a little bit worried about contributing to the whole image of the ENG fandom being people who have no restraint about making those kinds of comments anywhere.
That said, I understand completely why you don't want to turn off comments in case there are people who need help with in-game stuff...I do hope it doesn't get worse.
Honestly, when it comes to the Eng fandom, it's always been done for, but i understand wanting to make the place look more respectable.
One of us has taken up the job of clearing out the character comments. There'll probably be an announcement set up soon as well regarding this. The option for preventing unregistered users from commenting will still be put on hold.
Yeah, I understand...Though, thank you for your hard work though in maintaining the wiki, and good luck clearing the comments. I hope at least with that people will understand and maybe calm down on the spam a little bit..
