The broadcasting committee relies on him for his excellent ability to gather information. It wasn't his intention to become a model in the first place, but he's been in show business since childhood because of his parents. He's a real looker when he takes off his glasses. Appearance
Makoto is a boy of average height and build. He has short dark blonde hair that is parted from the right. His eyes are green, and he wears blue rimmed glasses. He wears the school's uniform with the collar slightly undone, and a blue tie. He also wears a dark blue button-up sweater with red and light cream colored designs on the front. He wears dull light brown sneakers with light yellow accents and a light yellow circle on the heel, with white laces.
On stage Makoto wears Trickstar's uniform. It includes a blue plaid half-sleeved jacket worn over a white v-neck shirt. The rolled up sleeve cuffs of the jacket are white. The lapels as well as the sides and shoulders of the jacket are black, with four tiny golden stars on the edge of the left lapel and golden trimming on the shoulders. Makoto wears matching blue plaid pants that are rolled up from the ankles. The uniform has multiple thin golden belts and an outlined star design on the side. He also wears a strap on his right side that's green with a white stripe. On the left side, there's a draped black bandana with a white stripe and dotted with tiny silver specks. He wears green sneakers with white laces. The outside of the shoes feature a star motif with the name "Trickstar" embroidered under it. Makoto wears two green wristbands. He also wears a gold necklace featuring an abstract design which may be interpreted as a combination of the letters "T" and "S" (from Trickstar), together with a star in the middle.
Trivia
- Makoto' first name means "truth" or "genuineness," "seriousness." His last name is homophonous with the word 勇気, which means "courage."
- Makoto's autograph consists of his full name, rendered in kanji. The autograph also features a smiley face.
- Makoto has multiple nicknames. He's called Ukki by Subaru Akehoshi, Makochin by Nazuna Nito and Yuu-kun by Izumi Sena
