Hmm… Um, Suou-kun, exactly which part made you angry?

Which sentence made you feel like we “denounced” you when you read it?

Tsukasa Suou Knights Dialogue Render.png

Huh? The whole thing, really… but if I must say, it would be this part in particular. I will read it aloud: “We never neglected our diligence.”

Hokuto Hidaka Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Ah, that’s something I said. They asked us how we were able to fight on the same level as Adam in the Autumn Live, so I was just speaking honestly...

Tsukasa Suou Knights Dialogue Render.png

Just as I thought. However, the problem lies in the next part.

“Previously, Yumenosaki Academy was filled with the sort of lazy, aimless students who would only rest on the laurels of their idol status.”

Hokuto Hidaka Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

…Well, that’s also the truth, right? Lately, everyone’s been very diligent about progressing with their idol activities, but things were really bad last year.

Tsukasa Suou Knights Dialogue Render.png

The details are unclear to me, as this was before I had enrolled. But let us assume that was the case.

The problem is what follows. “So that’s why we wanted to avoid losing to other units at all costs – for example, our schoolmates: Knights.”

Izumi Sena Knights Dialogue Render.png

You see what’s going on now? Basically, first you say there were “lazy, aimless” fake idols at our school, and then suddenly Knights’ name comes up like some kind of example.

It’s true that at one point, we weren’t really doing things we could be proud of.

But we’ve had a change of heart, and now we’re taking things much more seriously.

We’ve been trying to restore our name by volunteering and doing honest idol work.

So you see, it’s an important time for us to wash away our past mistakes and take a step forward.

And yet, this article can be read to make it seem like we’re just the same as we were in that one, single moment in the past when we screwed up.

I don’t like it when the past starts getting dragged up again. It’s a real pain for us, you know?

Tsukasa Suou Knights Dialogue Render.png

Certainly. To put it in Sena-senpai’s words, it’s sooo~ annoying!

Makoto Yuuki Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

I mean sure, you can read it that way! But it’s all a misunderstanding! It might be hard to tell just by looking at the article…

But the three lines that Suou-kun pointed out were all from different parts of the interview!

First, we were asked how we managed to have such an equal fight with Adam in Autumn Live, and we brought up our diligence and coordination.

But for some reason, they left out the part about “coordination”.

Subaru Akehoshi Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Yeah. Which kinda sucks, because we actually talked a lot more about that part in the interview.

We got through so many hardships because the five of us worked so hard together, after all.

Hokuto Hidaka Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

That’s right. We shared a lot of stories about our friendship, but for some reason, they’ve all been cut out.

It’s a real shame. I remember some pretty interesting things came up that would’ve made our fans happy.

Makoto Yuuki Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

That’s right. Ahh, I think I’m getting what the aim of this article is… It feels like they erased everything that would’ve been inconvenient for the writer’s purposes.

At any rate, look at the second line, the one about how there were lots of lazy, aimless students at Yumenosaki.

Yeah, it’s the truth, but chronologically speaking, we said this before the first line.

I think it came up when we were asked to explain what kind of unit Trickstar is.

We knew the article wasn’t going to be circulated only within Yumenosaki. It was for a national magazine, so we figured that most readers wouldn’t know that much about us—

We thought we should introduce ourselves first, so I think we talked about all sorts of things.

We said we as Trickstar originally formed our unit to bring revolution to the corrupted Yumenosaki Academy.

Subaru Akehoshi Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Right, that’s how it was at the beginning. I’ve kinda forgotten about most of that already, though.

Hokuto Hidaka Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Don’t forget that. It’s important, right? We were a unit formed for the sake of revolution.

Subaru Akehoshi Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

That might’ve been the case for you, Hokke~. I warmed up to the cause a little later, but to be honest, I just wanted to have fun being idols together…

I just wanted to sparkle as much as I could, you know?

Hokuto Hidaka Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Hm. Well, I guess that sounds about right for you. I was initially the only one who pushed forward with revolution in mind, anyway.

Mao Isara School Dialogue Render.png

Ahaha. Don’t sulk, Hokuto. It turned into a true revolution in the end, a result that no one ever dreamed would happen.

It’s okay to be proud of that, and I understand why you’d wanna emphasize that in an interview.

Makoto Yuuki Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Yeah. But just like the rest, the lines were cut and pasted here too.

So it looks like we’re saying that even now, there’s nothing but lazy idols at Yumenosaki.

Hokuto Hidaka Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Hm? Ahh… yeah, now that you mention it.

We were once a unit for revolution, but now we’re not. Now, our current goal is to achieve the SS victory we’ve wanted so much.

And yet, it can be read as if even now, we’re still doing idol work just because we want to bring revolution to Yumenosaki…

It’s almost as if our revolution hasn’t even started yet.

Makoto Yuuki Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Yup. Even though both we and Yumenosaki have already changed so much, too.

Moving on, look at the third line. It seems even more poorly placed than the others, so it’s easy to see what happened here.

It makes it look like we’ve started dissing Knights out of nowhere.

Tsukasa Suou Knights Dialogue Render.png

? Dissing? What does that mean?

Makoto Yuuki Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Ah, sorry, it’s internet slang. Wait, I think it was originally from rap?

Tsukasa Suou Knights Dialogue Render.png

Rap? Ahh, I think I might’ve heard about this kind of music before…?

Ritsu Sakuma Knights Dialogue Render.png

We’re getting off-topic. …Aha, I get it now too. The third line’s probably an answer to a different question from the other two, yeah?

Like, “Are there any units you see as rivals?” or something like that, right, Yuu-kun?

Makoto Yuuki Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Don’t call me Yuu-kun, okay? And Hidaka-kun was the one who answered this question.

But that’s right, we were asked something like “Do you have a rival?”, so we answered accordingly.

Hokuto Hidaka Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Yeah. I thought we could mention fine or Akatsuki, but surprisingly… we haven’t faced off one-on-one against them since spring.

When asked who our rival is, the first unit that comes to mind is Knights, since we’ve clashed with you so many times already.

Arashi Narukami Knights Dialogue Render.png

Ahah, we’re always going up against each other, aren’t we…♪ If we were asked the same question, we might’ve answered with “Trickstar”, too, maybe?

Subaru Akehoshi Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

Mm~ But y’know, I don’t think we intended to look down on you at all here.

You guys come out on top more often than not, after all… And DDD aside, Knights have always been a great opponent that we can really respect.

Hokuto Hidaka Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

That’s right. You have our respect. We have around the same level of ability, we’ve fought against you many times, and we’ve both pushed each other to improve…

That’s why I said “we don’t want to lose to you” in the interview.

Mao Isara School Dialogue Render.png

Yeah, what we meant to say was that we wanted “to do our best so we don’t lose to those guys” - something like that, anyway.

Trickstar may be representing Yumenosaki in SS, but it’s not like we’re miles ahead of the other units here.

There’ll always be someone out there who’s better than you. But that’s why we want to keep fighting on instead of giving up, so we can win someday – it’s an expression of our determination.

Makoto Yuuki Live2D Halloween Practice Dialogue Render.png

But then, our words got twisted by some malicious editing, and now, to borrow Suou-kun’s words, it looks like we’re denouncing Knights.

We suddenly bring them up as if they’re an example of the lazy guys we were talking about.

Izumi Sena Knights Dialogue Render.png

Exactly. And then it looks like you’re saying “we won’t lose to trash like that~” or something.

It’s like the information, or rather the impression it gives off is being manipulated, yeah?

And I mentioned it before, but Naru-kun and I did a gravure photoshoot for the front pages of this magazine.

For people who look at this article and think, who’re Knights? They can turn the page and go, oh, this is them… they’ll see and learn our faces.

You understand how much trouble that would cause us for our modeling work, right?

If this gives people the idea that we’re just some kind of lazy trash, that spells doom for our career, you know?
