Mother[]
A well known actress. She and Seiya left Hokuto within his Grandma's care. They both teach classes at Shuuetsu Academy and its affiliated schools.[2]
According to Hokuto, she is very childish and enjoys being flashy. When she gets engrossed in something, she often doesn’t know when to stop.[1] She is a sore loser and detests young people with talent, trying to make Wataru quit acting every time they met until he eventually joined her theater troupe, though Hokuto suggests that her even paying attention to him at all means that she likes him.[3]

Trivia[]
- She leads a theater troupe that Wataru joined after graduation. She is apparently very strict and has high standards to the point that Eichi did not believe Wataru would be able to keep up with it along with his idol activities.[4]

Grandmother (Maternal)[]
Hokuto's grandmother, who is not part of the entertainment industry. Although Hokuto lived with his parents, they were frequently busy with their entertainment work, so Hokuto's care was left to his grandmother. While Hokuto often feels pressured to follow in his parents' footsteps and please them, his grandmother always encourages him to follow his own path. As a result, he is much closer to her than he is to his parents.
Hokuto lives by and quotes his grandmother's words semi-regularly. He loves her dearly, and many of his tastes, including his love for konpeito, are likely shaped by hers, leading to him often being called old-fashioned.
Appearance[]
Trivia[]
- Hokuto's grandmother attended the DDD to support Hokuto, but Wataru had to help escort her out during the semifinals because the noise was too exhausting for her at her age.
- She met Wataru during a seminar on haiku, and she invites him out for tea where they chat. They have exchanged e-mail addresses and presumably communicate often as well.
- Hokuto's love for konpeito originates from his grandmother, who would often give it to him.
- Hokuto trusts his grandmother completely and lives by her words of advice.
- Whenever Makoto hears Hokuto's stories about his grandma, he is often moved to the point where he is in tears.
