Kaoru spends the free time he has after tending to all the new year formalities walking down a nostalgic road. He reminisces about the events of StarFes and how he had suggested he would pursue being an idol seriously - although he he's still conflicted about it. Nostalgia overtakes Kaoru as he passes by familiar sights, proving his attachment to the place. He then spots a passed-out, drunk Jin and wonders what he should do about the sleeping school nurse. Although he was sighing about how he's not really in the mood to deal with him right now, he eventually decides to wake him up. Kaoru doesn't entertain the drunk man's rambles and tries to get him to stand up, but Jin ends up lashing out at Kaoru and lunges at him. Kaoru knees Jin in response, but he was so wasted that he just fell back asleep. After getting cold while wasting time on Jin, Kaoru decides it's best to head for somewhere warm, and he just so happens to have the keys to the underground live house on him.

Jin wakes up in the underground live house to Kaoru's singing, and praises him for how far he's come as an idol. After noticing that Jin had woken up, Kaoru offers him the water he's warmed and some pills to help with his hangover. Jin thanks Kaoru, and apologizes for all the trouble. He would have put in a good word for him if he was his homeroom teacher for all his help. Kaoru appreciates the thought and brings up how such a reward would really help him as his grades aren't the best, limiting his options after graduation. Kaoru expresses his regret in wasting so much time slacking off but Jin assures him that any kind of experience has its value and tells Kaoru about how he never got to play around while he was a super idol. Kaoru doesn't think that he would've have lasted as an idol during that era but Jin believes that Kaoru has it harder than him. Jin continues and says that it's better to have fun at this age and get used to how it feels so that it's manageable in the future. His head then starts throbbing because of the alcohol, so Kaoru offers to call someone to pick him up. However, Jin refuses the offer, saying it's already embarrassing as is. Kaoru reassures him that the world "needs useless adults" so it's not a shocking reality that not all adults are prim and proper. Jin gets up to take his leave, but because he hasn't sobered up enough, he loses his balance. Kaoru reprimands Jin for getting so drunk in the first place so Jin explains that he was drinking his sorrows away because a staff member confessed her love to him during the Project-Saga closing party. Jin felt anxious seeing how easily he could have ruined her life and started feeling guilty for his past actions as an idol, so he turned to alcohol for a distraction from how he felt. Jin warns Kaoru, since they have similar selling points as idols, to not to repeat the same mistakes he made. Jin then feels ready to head home, but before he does, Kaoru asks if he can come to him again for advice. Jin allows it and wishes for Kaoru to continue singing freely before bidding him farewell.
