Led by Tsukasa Suou, Knights is a unit dedicated to chivalry. With characters as knights, the members provide heart-warming and generous fanservice. For media work, Knights concentrates on commercial and fashion models, variety show, gourmet programs, TV series, and other opportunities that best expressing their charming appearances. The theme color is navy-blue.
Knights is affiliated with NEW DIMENSION. Knights is one of the top three units in the industry along with fine and Eden.
Ensemble Stars! Introduction
Led by Leo Tsukinaga, a unit made up of graceful and charming knight-type members! Each member possesses a high level of technique, captivating the audience by showing them exactly what they want to see.
Etymology[]
When the unit Chess split up, many subsequent units formed with their original members choosing names themed after chess pieces to honor the unit. As all of those names were taken by the time Leo and Izumi registered their unit, Leo decided to use the plural form of the knight piece in chess[1] to make "Knights".[2] Their logo during the Enstars! era is depicted with a knight piece, while stories such as Checkmate references the position in chess.[3]
An alternate definition of "knight" frequently used by the unit is the title of knight and knighthood.[4] They address their fans as "princesses", a reference to classic fairy tales where valiant knights rescue a captive princess.[5] In addition, their logo during the Enstars!! era is depicted with a shield, which were used by knights in combat.[6]
