Grandfather[]
In Element, Eichi tells Tsumugi about his grandfather, who is on his deathbed. He claims that dying early runs in his family, but his grandfather has lived a considerably long life.
Eichi does not seem to be particularly sad about his grandfather's death, more worried about the commotion it will cause, even describing him as a "thorn in [his] side" and expressing relief that he will have more freedom once his grandfather has passed. Regardless, he still wishes for his grandfather to rest in peace.[2]
