Chiaki is an idol who admires heroes and lives like one. He has a straightforward personality and cherishes his friends more than anything else, but can be too hot-blooded at times. His singing voice is energetic and powerful, and his performances are also passionate and filled with vitality.
The RYUSEI Red of RYUSEITAI at STARMAKER PRODUCTION. He aims to be a hero who can bring smiles and encouragement to people all around the world. He aims to perform in a children's programs to increase his name recognition.[2]

MidoriAhh~... Morisawa-senpai is kinda annoying... No, he's REALLY annoying, but he's someone who cares about his friends. I mean, it's not exactly normal for him to come over and wake me up every day just to drag me to morning practice, right? But that shows how serious he is about being an idol. If anyone seems like they'd be an outcast, he'll drag them by the hand and force them into his group... In any case, I'm grateful to him, but I'll never ever say that to his face...![2]
Appearance
Chiaki is tall and athletic. He has short brown hair kept in a tousled fashion, and matching red-brown colored eyes.
On stage, he wears the red color version of RYUSEITAI's uniform. It includes a black and white leather jacket with red accents and gold trimming and detailing. The jacket is longer on the back than it is in the front, and the inside is designed with a sparkly purple fabric, reminiscent of a galaxy. He wears a black shirt underneath and a gold necklace with a red star as well as white form-fitting pants with a sparkly purple stripe down the outer sides. This is accessorized with a red and white striped belt with a gold and red star-shaped buckle. The belt has golden strings dangling from it and a sparkly red and white wrap tied to it. He also wears tall red boots with white accents and gold detailing, along with a pair of black fingerless gloves.

At school he wears the school's uniform, with the blazer unbuttoned, in addition to the usual white shirt unbuttoned at the collar and a green tie. He is always seen smiling and filled with confidence. He wears red and white shoes with black laces and bird-symbol imprints.
On stage, he wears the red color version of RYUSEITAI's uniform. It includes a red leather jacket with white accents and a black shirt underneath. He also wears black form-fitting pants with a red stripe down the middle, accessorized with a star on a belt that has yellow and red strings dangling from it and wrap around the waist. He also wears tall white boots with red accents and a pair of black fingerless gloves.
Personality
Chiaki is a bright, passionate person. He expresses his love for his hobbies in dramatic but excitable ways, because he enjoys sharing his passion with other people, and likewise, enjoys it when other people do the same with him. He loves to dote on his juniors, no matter how cold they are to him.[3]
He enjoys having physical contact with people, and is known to embrace his friends and juniors to express his joy and love. His passion can be overbearing sometimes to other people due to how exaggerative and dramatic he expresses himself. However, he is a helpful and kind person, always willing to offer a helping hand or lend an ear.
He sees the good in every single person he meets, and loves to give compliments. He is extremely empathetic and a worrywart, and for that reason, is easily drawn towards the person who's suffering the most.[4][5][6] He has a pragmatic approach to the world, such as calling the police when situations are dangerous[7], or protecting people not by defeating "monsters", but by providing them with emotional comfort and smiles.
He has a very strong sense of responsibility as a hero and a leader, which has made him develop a habit of overworking himself. In his third year of high school and the first few months of working as an idol in Ensemble Square, there were times when he pushed himself too hard, and got injured or sick in the process.[8][9][10] His stubborn side is an extension of his sense of obligation, and he often has moments when he refuses to back down from his convictions.[11][12][13] Despite all this, there are times he can be timid and unsure of himself, such as not believing he's as good as the people around him, likely due to these self-esteem issues.[4][14][15]
Chiaki is also noted by Kanata as well as himself to be a "crybaby"[16][17], and often cries in emotional moments, whether happy or sad; despite that, he has a strong enough pride that makes him want to hide those tears away. Not only that, but due to the fear of being seen as uncool by his juniors (and by kids who look up to him), he often shows a strong front whenever they're around. On the other hand, he doesn't do it as much with people his age, especially those who are close to him, such as Kanata and Kuro.
He thinks and talks to himself often, especially in attempts to calm himself down.[18][19][20]
Etymology
Chiaki's first name means "a thousand autumns". Incidentally, he was born in autumn, and autumn is often connected with the color red. The "Mori" (守) in his family name means "protect".

Trivia
- Chiaki's autograph consists of his full name rendered in kanji. It's as energetic and passionate as him and reflects his personality.
- He has a strong attachment to the color red, due to its connection with heroes in tokusatsu, like Super Sentai shows.[21][22] This is reflected in his favorite color being described as "reddo" (レッド) instead of "aka" (赤).
- He loves all kinds of tokusatsu shows, and is often referencing Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Super Sentai shows in stories.
- Some references appear in his cards as well. In his Burning Red card, he is doing a Rider Kick, which is an iconic finishing move of Kamen Riders within the franchise. In his Academy Idol and 3rd Anniversary cards, he can be seen doing Kamen Rider 1's pose.
- He has also seen the tokusatsu-like animated franchise Pretty Cure.[23] It is produced by Toei, which also produces the Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series.
- He has a naturally loud voice.[24][25][7]
- He has an extreme dislike for eggplants, and the reasons he mentions are because of their texture and taste.[26]
- He can't stand eggplants so much, that he would sometimes wonder if he had experienced something related to them in a past life.[27]
- He used to always wear glasses before his third year, and in his third year, he would wear them during class.[28][4][11][29]
- He enjoys reading books, and has a habit of reading something before sleeping.[30][31][32]
- Chiaki was a sickly child, and to this day he's still sensitive to weather changes, as it may cause him to fall extremely ill.[35][36][37]
- Despite being full of energy most of the time, he actually suffers from low blood pressure, and is bad with mornings.[38]
- He's terrified of ghosts, and being alone in the dark frightens him for that reason.[20][31][39]
- Whenever the topic of weakest subject comes up, Chiaki always says it's math.[40][41]
- One of his dreams is to eat a lunch box prepared by his girlfriend.[42][43]
- In ES Y1, this dream gets fulfilled in BOGIE TIME. Chiaki sends an order during the variety show mentioning this dream, and Hajime fulfills it by making a lunch box made with bread crusts as his "girlfriend".[44]
- In ES Y1, he picked up cooking. He's currently a beginner and usually follows a recipe.[45][46][47]
- During a visit to the Basketball Club following his graduation, he attempted to gift the other members his old basketball shoes. However, everyone but Aira refused to accept them.[48]
