1 Episode 1 Winter
It is a rather cold day. Souma, who unsuccessfully tried to get Kanata because of Marine Biology Club activities, notices a cat in a thicket. He remembers that Keito said if dogs and cats keep showing up on campus, the health department might exterminate said dogs and cats. Souma notices that the cat is wearing a collar, making it a pet. On the collar is the word "Hana", written in Romaji. Wondering about the cat's owner, Souma decides to go to the Student Council room, looking for Keito. However, when he arrives, Keito and Kuro are already there, not noticing Souma. After Keito does notice Souma, the latter, he (Souma) decides to prepare himself for the worst...
Chapters

Souma enters the room, hiding Hana in his shirt. Keito and Kuro are confused by the sight of Souma's bulging stomach, so he tries to cover it up by saying it's the result of a growth spurt. Hana meows, Souma claims it's his newfound stomach growling for food, and he uses that excuse to run away. A worried Kuro chases after Souma and confronts him. Souma explains everything about Hana, so Kuro reveals that calling the health department is very much a last resort and Keito has been trying kinder methods to remove the strays like finding foster homes. With everything cleared up, the pair begin brainstorming about finding Hana's owner.
3 Episode 2 Winter
Arashi approaches them, and being very fond of cats, she's immediately smitten with Hana. Souma explains that they need to find his owner. Arashi ends up deducing that the Hana on his collar isn't his name, but rather the name of a cat café she frequents, so the cat must come from there. Arashi calls the café and gets confirmation that it's where he belongs. She offers to bring him back there.
4 Episode 3 Winter
After school the following day, a troubled Arashi has come to Anzu for help with something. Souma also shows up to ask how "Hana" is doing. Arashi explains that everything is just fine with him, and that she couldn't update Souma sooner because of a request the café made of her. There's going to be a huge winter event at a park with a train exhibition that many companies are participating in, including the café. They wanted her to help them with advertising and serving customers. They asked her directly because the request they put in through the school was seemingly ignored. Arashi knows it's because everybody at school is busy with StarFes, but she really wants to support the café, so she came to Anzu in search of units who can help. Nobody has been able to, though. Souma asks what exactly a cat café is, and is delighted to learn that if he helped, he would have the chance to see "Hana" again. He agrees to be a waiter with Arashi, and decides he'll try to convince his seniors to participate in the café's live. He and Anzu set off on the mission.
5 Episode 4 Winter
Souma and Anzu's first stop is the Dojo to convince Kuro. They find him working himself to the bone making outfits for StarFes. Souma becomes hesitant to ask his busy senior about doing the live. Anzu coaxes Kuro into taking a break. He gets Souma to open up about his request, and agrees to doing the live despite the circumstances, since it's rare for Souma to ask anything of AKATSUKI. Kuro knows Souma would be nervous about asking Keito, who is incredibly busy, so he offers him encouragement and support if things go awry. An energized Souma goes to seek out Keito.
6 Episode 5 Winter
Anzu stays behind with Kuro. He thanks her for getting him to take a breather so Souma could ask about the live. She begins to help Kuro with the outfits, wanting to see her teacher do his work. He praises her in how far she's come with sewing, grateful for her assistance so he can finish his duties quicker for Souma. He knows both him and Keito want to help Souma the best they can. He's anxious about not being a good waiter and letting Souma down, given his tendency to intimidate people. Anzu reassures him that he isn't so scary, and lifts his spirits a bit. They continue working as fast as they can.
7 Episode 6 Winter
Souma arrives at the student council room. Leo is there, causing a bit of a ruckus and getting chided by Keito. They begin to bicker again, this time about a picture Leo took of Keito with Little John's kittens. Leo gets the conversation back on track, asking if Keito would also be a waiter. Keito stays where he is as to not scare the cats away from anybody.
10 Episode 9 Winter
Nazuna returns with a staff apron for Keito to wear. His logic was that the incense wasn't a good smell to the cats, so the apron would make Keito seem more familiar to them. His hunch is correct, and they begin crowding Keito, who is very delighted. A cat jumps on Nazuna, and Souma gets it off of him. The cat is "Hana," who is very happy to be reunited with Souma, and vice versa. Arashi informs Souma that the cat's name is actually Maru. 11 Episode 10 Winter
The café has opened. Anzu approaches Kuro, who is practicing his greeting for customers. He remains worried about being scary, but Anzu tries to reassure him. Souma's struggling to read the dessert names on the western menu, but Kuro suggests a workaround for him. 12 Episode 11 Winter
The pair freeze at Kuro's greeting, which makes him anxious, but they were just taken aback seeing their senior here. They chat, and Yuta and Sora are looking forward to AKATSUKI's live. Anzu joins the conversation, and they learn she's there to take a break rather than to produce the live. Kuro guides them to their seats with cats following them. He wonders why they're so clingy. Sora reveals he can understand the cats with his synesthesia, and that they say Kuro has a very warm, secure presence. Sora agrees, and says he finds Kuro's colour to be gentle. It's so gentle that it makes him doze off, so Kuro gives him a piggyback ride to the seats. Kuro says he'll look after everybody.
13 Episode 12 Winter
Sora plays with a cat he got woken up by. Leo greets him, and explains that he's been allowed to just care for the cats rather than dealing with customers while working there. Souma is having a bit of difficulty keeping up with orders, but is trying his best since being hospitable is part of his duty as an idol. He crosses paths with Maru again, and Arashi comes to ask if he needs help with anything. Souma thanks Arashi for the opportunity to work and perform here, and Arashi thanks him for supporting the café. It's all thanks to Maru, who Souma tells not to run away again since he'll come to the café and play with him when he can.
