A young, half-Japanese man that came to Japan from the Middle East to become an idol who sings songs of peace. Earnest in nature, Adonis hates violence and is filled with compassion, however with his kindness comes naïveté. His singing voice is mellow and resonant, along with performances that are filled with vitality.
Adonis is a member of UNDEAD at Rhythm Link. He wants to involve himself in activities that can bring his songs across the world and grant the world peace of mind. Wanting to express his thoughts not only through song but through his own words too, he has begun practicing conversational skills.[2]

KaoruAdonis-kun is a really kind and good kid. He looks like a tough guy though. Also, he's apparently the son of some bigwig from a Middle Eastern country. So for example, if Koga-kun gets angry about something, Adonis-kun will calmly listen to him and try to solve the problem. He can be a bit clumsy, but his heart is in the right place and that's what's good about him.[2]
Appearance
Adonis is a tall young man with a good build. He has a darker complexion than all the other students. He has messy purple hair that is brushed back on the left side, with the right side being longer and amber eyes.
He wears the school's uniform with the white shirt tucked in and undone at the collar, and the blazer unbuttoned. He wears a brown belt and a green tie. He wears black moccasin loafers. He also wears a small metal earring on his left ear.

He also wears a dark gray belt, with a golden buckle. On the side, there's a dark gray bandanna with a white pattern. It also has a golden beaded chain. He wears black pants that are slightly ripped on the left thigh and above the right knee. He wears high black boots with gray buckles across the front and gray laces. He wears a golden beaded chain necklace that wraps around twice, and a black wristband on his left arm. Over the wristband is a golden beaded chain bracelet. The outfit also has a black peaked cap, also decorated with a golden beaded chain.
Personality
For the most part, Adonis is a serious and obedient person, who always shows respect to his seniors, like Rei Sakuma of UNDEAD.
Though his appearance may say otherwise, Adonis is a very kind person and cares deeply about his friends and acquaintances, who has a strong desire to protect the weak, thus worrying about those with smaller statures, almost to a forceful degree at times. His desire to protect is so strong that, despite not being a man of many words, will jump to conclusions at times and will assume that someone or something is being mistreated. However, when the situation is fully explained, he will show remorse and regret and apologise for jumping to conclusions. He has even been shown helping some of the more eccentric characters in the cast other than his unit leader, such as Nagisa Ran. He is so kind that he’ll offer himself up where others are scared, even if the risk of him being hurt is high.
Although he is very physically strong, Adonis still finds himself struggling to integrate into Japanese society after having been raised in his homeland, and thus asks from assistance from those he is close to a lot, most notably his classmate, Souma Kanzaki, and his unitmate Koga Ogami. For the most part, they are happy to help, but they all note the frequency of these questions. This confusion surrounding some aspects of daily life often tends to lead him into following the whims of those he respects.
His struggle to integrate into society properly is very prevalent in some stories. He notes that his appearance, including not just his stature, causes others to perceive him differently, and though he expresses regret that such things may happen on account of his half Middle-Eastern nationality, he and the people he’s close to is accepting of it, knowing that prejudice is still very much present in today’s society. He’s often insecure about being close to things or people that are smaller than him, afraid of breaking them or scaring them away, and gets dispirited when he ends up scaring something. His worry is so large that it even extends to inanimate objects.
At the start of the ! era, Adonis struggles with communicating verbally, due to being a naturally quiet person, and resolves to show himself through his song and dance. This natural reservedness, however, was a weakness in his work as an idol in areas other than lives, because much of his work requires him to be able to hold a conversation and talk for extended periods of times. In present day, he has largely overcome this weakness, however, some of the things he says in more conversational work can still fall flat — however, it’s subtle enough to simply be considered part of his charm.
Etymology
Adonis's first name is a clear reference to Adonis, the Greek demi-god of beauty and desire. His last name consists of two characters, with the former (乙) frequently used as an ateji (character used phonetically rather than semantically) and the latter (狩) meaning "to hunt". Incidentally, the first character in Adonis's last name is homophonous with the character 音, meaning "sound, voice."
Family

His father is of SWANA descent, and he and his sisters moved to Japan due to complications in his home country. His father stayed home in his home country, and Adonis now lives with his mother and sisters in Japan.
As a child, Adonis was often bullied and teased by his sisters. As a result of this, his motivation to become stronger allowed him to overcome the bullying of his sisters. Though his sisters no longer tease him, they now try to take advantage of his build, like making him carry their stuff for them. Despite their attitude, these sisters seem to care for Adonis in their own way.
Trivia
- Adonis's autograph consists of only his first name, rendered in katakana. The slightly awkward quality of the handwriting seems to suggest that he is not familiar with writing in the Japanese script.
- He shares his birthday with Midori Takamine.
- His birthday, 29 August, is a wordplay on "meat" (niku) in Japanese, as 29 can be read as niku. This number is also seen in his Prism Collab outfit.
- He is unfamiliar with modern technology, like Souma Kanzaki.
- His ocarina playing is so beautiful that it has moved Koga to tears.[3]
