Why is it rated 17+ in the App Store?
Why is it rated 17+ in the App Store?

@Denkiizap I haven’t really looked into ensemble stars that much because I didnt want any spoilers and stuff so what does he do that booted the age rating up?
I don't remember the true reason but I remember seeing that they were forced to change the rating of the game due to the recent story content that is has. (Blame Rinne honestly, it's his fault /j) And also, some stories DO have heavy topics (look at Meteor Impact's story page and you'll see it's full of warnings) so it's quite understandable why Apple decided to force Happy Elements to increase the age rating so that they could still be up on the store. Hope you find this explanation helpful!
@Lillikat123 from what i remember, in the main story of the new game, eichi said a metaphor that many people didnt take too kindly to as it was said to minors. that, and something rinne said was changed in the story as well as the age rating going up because the content really didnt fit the age rating it had previously. i don't know if im allowed to say what exactly the two said on here, but it was pretty bad anyways. and as the other person said, a good few of the stories have heavy topics that make the age rating very understandable.
@Denkiizap @Azurerinny thank you guys I was wondering because I was wanting to get into ensemble stars and I thought the game would be a good starting point but then I saw 17+ so I didn’t know if I did be allowed to watch/play the game or anime. My parents are fine with me watching or reading darker topics and they are okay with profanity but I’m still not sure how bad the sexual content gets so thats the only reason I’m still iffy....
@Lillikat123 There was an in game notice that they still wanted to keep younger fans also! After the huge backlash on the things that Eichi and some others have said in the second main story, they went ahead and rewrote it.
I can assure you that the sexual content in here is not that much and the age rating is solely there because they were forced by Apple AND some dark and mature themes on the in game storyline.
If you want a good place to start getting into Enstars, I would recommend reading the first main story under Ensemble Stars! The setting of the first main story focuses on Trickstar as our protagonist which is also the storyline that the anime follows.
@Azurerinny alrighty thank you so much!
Rinne.
